OSARO Co-founders selected by Supply & Demand Chain Executive As ‘Pros to Know’ in 2021
Industry publication award recognizes outstanding executives whose accomplishments leverage supply chains for competitive advantage.
SAN FRANCISCO (April 22, 2021) — OSARO Co-founders Derik Pridmore, CEO, and Michael Kahane, CTO, have been honored by Supply & Demand Chain Executive as “Pros to Know” in 2021. Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the only publication covering the entire global supply chain, each year recognizes outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage the supply chain for competitive advantage.
“At OSARO, we believe the key challenge for 2021 is to significantly improve supply chain robustness through advances in industrial automation,” stated CEO Derik Pridmore. “As such, we are honored to have been selected as ‘Pros to Know’ for 2021. While there have been notable advances in automation, most of the supply chain work is still manual. The mission of OSARO is to use our intelligence, visual, and control systems to create a new ruggedized infrastructure that improves the performance of robotic systems to move products more efficiently — as a rapidly evolving ‘matter router.’”
OSARO has developed a comprehensive machine learning software architecture and suite of products that empower industrial robots with new levels of sight and skill. Through robotic automation, these new capabilities allow customers and system integration partners to build new levels of robustness and flexibility into their logistics and factory operations while at the same time reducing costs. OSARO partners include IHI, Kawasaki, Innotech, and Dematic. In 2020, OSARO and its partners delivered more than 30 deployments in seven countries.
“While many companies have struggled to regain their footing as a result of COVID-19, this year’s ‘Pros to Know’ winners stepped up to the plate to deliver innovative solutions and programs in a time of crisis and need. These winners collaborated, optimized, developed, educated, and played a critical role in the survival and success of their company amid a global pandemic,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. “I am honored to recognize these individuals and teams, and extend my utmost gratitude to everyone in the supply chain industry for their time, efforts, and innovations to keep our nation’s supply chains afloat.”
